R & A Roofing & Sons LTD recently carried out an extensive chimney restoration and slate roof maintenance project for a property in Tunbridge Wells.
The project focused on safeguarding the property against water ingress, beginning with a full overhaul of the chimney stack. We professionally repointed the entire brickwork, re-flaunched the chimney top to secure the pots, and applied multiple protective coats of Ronseal brick seal to create an invisible, water-repellent barrier.
On the roof, damaged slates were carefully replaced to restore full weather protection. We also refixed the existing lead flashing, reinforced the leadwork and valley with a seamless fibreglass waterproofing application, and repointed the surrounding ridge tiles to leave the entire roofline neat, secure, and resilient against harsh weather.
