The Problem
The main roof on this Bexhill property had suffered from years of moss build-up, which had trapped moisture under the tiles and caused several tiles to break and slip. The felt and battens underneath were degraded, and the flat roof areas had deteriorated to the point where a full renewal was needed to make the roof weatherproof again.
The Work We Carried Out
- Stripped the old felt and battens from the main roof
- Cleaned moss from the tile surface to allow for a proper inspection
- Re-tiled and replaced broken and slipped tiles
- Installed a dry verging system for a clean, secure finished edge
- Renewed the flat roof areas in fibreglass
The Result
The roof is now fully weatherproof, with a tidy, finished profile and secure verges all the way round. The fibreglass flat roof sections are seamless and durable, giving the property long-lasting protection from the weather.
